During Stay-at-Home amid the pandemic, we’ve pivoted our Chatham Artists-in-Schools Initiative so that students across Chatham who are learning from home have access to workshops by professional artists–made just for Chatham kids!
The Chatham community is incredible, and we’re grateful to the hardworking teachers and principals, the flexible artists, and the always-on parents for coming together to make this happen.
We believe that the arts are more important now than ever. The arts are how many children will start to make sense of this time in history–and they are a vehicle toward resilience and learning in new ways.
If you’d like your K-8 child to experience a virtual Chatham Artists-in-Schools Initiative residency, here’s how:
- Chatham County Schools parents can check out the At Home Learning Resource Page–or ask their children’s teacher.
- Chatham Charter, Willow Oak Montessori, and Woods Charter School families can ask their children’s teacher.
- Homeschooling and other Chatham children can reach out to Julie Amani at email@example.com for a link to the Homeschool Arts Residency page.
