One Home—NHS Puppet Theatre Performance

it floats along to another place.”
One Home is a unique puppet show written and directed by Leslie Burwell to promote global awareness, in collaboration with artist-in-residence Donovan Zimmerman of Paperhand Puppet Intervention, and master percussionist Teli Shabu. Her students will present the new theatre piece at Northwood High School on November 18 & 19. Burwell, visual arts instructor at Northwood for 14 years and chair of the NHS arts education department, was one of 26 NC Educators selected to travel to South Africa this summer with Go Global NC. The international leadership program, dating back to the 1990s, is designed to help NC teachers bring the world to their classrooms. Students $5. General Admission. $10.
All proceeds will go to Chatham United Way and LIV Village in South Africa.
