Keep Singing

Middle and High School Choristers from Chatham County Schools perform in this year’s annual concert.

Matthew Hanson, Northwood’s Choral Instructor, serves as this year’s middle school clinician.

This year’s high school clinician is  Dr. Brett Nolker, associate professor of music education at UNCG, specializing in choral and secondary-level general music education. He is a founding member of the Music Research Institute at UNCG and is active in music education research, primarily in the areas of music teacher education, music literacy, and in the developing of individual skills in the ensemble and classroom setting.

In addition to his teaching and leadership at UNCG, Dr. Nolker is the founding Music Director of Triad Voices, a regional youth choir program in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina, and is Director of Vocal Music for Greensboro Day School. Prior to joining the UNCG faculty, Dr. Nolker served as the Director of Music Education and conductor of the Collegiate Chorale and Jenny Lind Women’s Ensemble at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois.
