Michel Stone presents Border Child

McIntyre’s is proud to present Michel Stone and her new novel, Border Child. Stone tells the story of young lovers Héctor and Lilia as they struggle to create a new life for themselves north of the border. Tragedy strikes when Alejandra and her parents are separated at the border; Hector and Lilia return to Mexico in despair as they try to recover information about their lost daughter. Years later, Hector and Lilia receive a lead pertaining to the whereabouts of their lost daughter, and are determined not to lose her again.

Michel Stone is the author of The Iguana Tree, and has published more than a dozen stories and essays in various journals and magazines. Her work has appeared numerous times in the Raleigh News & Observer‘s Emerging Southern Writers series. Stone is a 2011 recipient of the South Carolina Fiction Project Award.
