Local arts agencies from Chatham, Wake, Orange, and Durham counties will once again partner with WRAL to present Big Night In for the Arts, a regional fundraising initiative with a superstar line-up, including locally and nationally known acts with ties to the Triangle. ARTISTS-IN-SCHOOLS This week, the students at Chatham Grove will experience the balance of African rhythmic arts, including dance, drums, percussion and song. They’ll also learn about and create Adinkra visual art. The Magic of African Rhythm will weave history and social studies into a 3-day workshop with fifth graders.
View new works on display in many mediums: oil, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink, pastels, hand-prints, photography, ceramics, polychrome and kintsugi style vessels, basketry, jewelry, fiber arts, sculptural works in clay, wood, stone, steel, and bronze.
