ARTISTS-IN-SCHOOLS
NC poet Phillip Shabazz returns to Chatham, bringing the art of poetry to Perry Harrison. Through poetry, students will be encouraged to connect with their core beliefs to develop new ideas for improving their writing. In these workshops, fifth graders will draw on their own personal experiences to create original poems, then celebrate their work with an Open Mic reading of their poetry.
We at the Chatham Arts Council are delighted to provide the only online calendar exclusively dedicated to Chatham County arts events–performing, literary, and visual arts. Get out there and get inspired!
