Pittsboro Gallery of Arts will be hosting a Makers Celebration of art demonstrations, entertainment, refreshments, and community on Friday, October 16th, from 5-8pm. PGA opened its doors as an artist-owned fine art and craft gallery six years ago, and has become a vibrant part of the Pittsboro community. This celebration will have something for everyone. Artist members will be doing live demonstrations of painting, pastel painting, photography, hand-building with clay, mixed-media assemblage, and painted gourd creation. Singer and songwriter (and glass artist!) Janet Place will be doing a live performance. A special display of small treasures will be available for purchase, as well as the beautiful works always on display in the gallery. Great food, drinks, art, and companionship will combine to make this a wonderful night! We so hope you can join us!
The Pittsboro Gallery of Arts is an artist-owned cooperative Fine Art and Craft Gallery located a few steps north of the Chatham County Courthouse circle. Artist works include a variety of media: oil, acrylics, watercolor, high-voltage woodburning, wooden mobiles, pastel, pen and ink, photography, fused glass, ceramics, jewelry, basketry, painted gourd vessels, and sculptural works in clay and wood.
