Bluegrass 2017

Save the date: Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 3pm. We’re thrilled to announce our fall concert!

It’s the 46th Anniversary Concert of The Bluegrass Experience, sponsored by the good folks at Opus Financial Advisors, Inc. on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 3pm at the Fearrington Barn.

Buy advanced tickets ($16 adults, $8 children, 8-11 years old) online.

McIntyre’s Books in Fearrington Village will have tickets on Friday, October 13th. Tickets are also available from Tommy Edwards at his shop in downtown  Pittsboro, Red Gate Antiques, Art and Music at 107 Hillsboro Street.

In the meantime, we’ve got some fabulous sponsor opportunities for you arts-lovin’ local business owners.

We’re celebrating in fine fashion as the Chatham Arts Council once again brings together eight local bluegrass legends:  Mike Aldridge on mandolin, Stan Brown on banjo, Jimmy Cameron on mandolin, Tommy Edwards at the front, Fiddlin’ Al McCanless on fiddle, Leroy Savage on guitar, Thomas “Snuffy” Smith on bass fiddle, and Keith Thomas on fiddle.  Individually, these guys have musical accolades a mile long.  Together, they’re known as The Bluegrass Experience, and this is their 46th year making music together.

You don’t play together for 46 years with that kind of talent without a few things happening for sure:  You get really dang good.  You learn a lot and teach a lot.  And you end up with some pretty hilarious stories.

This bluegrass soiree will raise dollars for the Chatham Arts Council’s Chatham Artists-in-Schools Initiative and our Investing in Artists Program. We look forward to celebrating with you then and there!
