A Local Hero and His Chainsaw: A Quick Look Back at ClydeFEST 2018

ClydeFEST 2018 was full of laughter, creative art, cool critters, fun games, and a welcoming community spirit! Even while we’re still smiling and excited about all of that, we’re looking forward to what next year will bring!

Whether you came out to witness local folk artist Clyde Jones carve a critter for auction, watch performances by the young and old, play Tic Tac Tire, devour delicious food from local vendors, or simply to let your little one run wild in the Bynum Ball Field, we are SO HAPPY that you were a part of this 16 year old tradition.

“One of the things we love most about ClydeFEST is seeing so many different parts of our Chatham community come together to celebrate creativity and art with children,” expressed Cheryl Chamblee, Chatham Arts Council Executive Director. “Something that started as a small, local event now draws crowds from Raleigh, Durham, and communities across the Triangle. It’s a true gem in Chatham County and we’re thrilled to host it with all of our amazing partners each year.”

The Chatham Arts Council would like to thank all of our awesome community partners for supporting the arts! Without you, ClydeFEST would not be possible.

Check back here next spring for more details on the 17th annual ClydeFEST! Hope to see you back, messy, and happy, next year.

P.S. If you didn’t get a ClydeFEST t-shirt this year, have no fear! We still have some in a few sizes (adult and kid). Drop us an email at clydefest@chathamartscouncil.org, and we’ll be happy to make it happen for you.
