Do you need more art in your life? We do too! That’s why we want you to know about an awesome event coming up pretty soon: the Cher Shaffer Art Preview Show on May 3rd from 7:00-9:00 pm.
Cher Shaffer has been a self-taught artist for the past 45 years and creates colorful folk art. Her work is in numerous museums, such as the Kentucky Folk Art Center and the Cincinnati Museum of Art, and is part of the personal collections of Oprah Winfrey, Jane Fonda, Henry Winkler, Lou Diamond Phillips, and others.
The kind folks at The Kindred Gallery at Rosemary House B&B (76 West Street, Pittsboro) will be providing refreshments during the event and Cher’s Art Preview Sale will be at our offices right next door (118 West Street). Tickets are $20. Get yours right here! Cher is kindly donating a piece of her artwork for a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting the Chatham Arts Council. And – more kindness – the owners of the Rosemary House B&B will donate the profit from tickets sales to the CAC.
