ClydeFEST 2022 Celebrates 20th Anniversary

ClydeFEST 2022 was special. Not just because it was the 20th Anniversary, although that was incredibly special. This year’s ClydeFEST marked the first full festival since the pandemic hit in 2020. All the crafts, critters, and kids returned to the Bynum Ball Field. It had been a long two years, and folks were ready! More than 750 kids of all ages braved the cloudy skies and threats of rain to come out and celebrate art and community.

Kids got to play old-fashioned handmade games and create art at every booth on the field. And, of course, there was ice cream!

All day long, the air was filled with music from our performance stage where artists like Chatham Dance Connection, Bouncing Bulldogs, and Carolina Lightnin’ entertained the crowd.

Of course, what would ClydeFEST be without Critterville? Kids got to make their very own Clyde-style folk art by painting, glittering, and bejeweling their very own critter cut-outs.

And speaking of Clyde . . . it wouldn’t be the same without him! Clyde Jones himself was on the field to take it all in!
