NEW DATE AND TIME!
This SUNDAY, April 23
from 12pm-5pm
After watching the weather all week, the forecast just isn’t improving the way we’d like. We’ve made the decision to move ClydeFEST to this Sunday, April 23, from 12pm-5pm. All the critters, all the food, all the fun will still be at the Chatham Ag Center on the East Lawn.
The region’s favorite kids’ arts carnival is back in Chatham County this spring, in a brand new location. All the games, all the crafts, the food, the mess – all the fun is moving to the Chatham County Agriculture and Conference Center this year.
“The Bynum community generously welcomed us for so many beautiful ClydeFEST years, and that ballfield holds many a special ClydeFEST memory,” explains Cheryl Chamblee, CAC Artistic Director, “This year, we’re shifting venues to make ClydeFEST more accessible to more kids and families. We’re excited to have more parking for folks with disabilities, not to mention parents juggling kids and strollers! And we love that the Ag Center was created to be a resource to the full breadth of the Chatham community so that everyone can feel at home there. The heart and soul of ClydeFEST has always been about kids (and kids-at-heart!) making art with found materials in a joyful atmosphere, and we are thrilled that all of those things will be available to even more people this year.”
From the young to the young at heart, everybody is encouraged to let their inner artist out and get messy! Stop by Critterville and paint one of Clyde’s iconic critter cut-outs, then become the canvas at the face-painting booth! Visit one of the many community partner booths to work on a folk art craft with your little one. Hula hooping, balloon animals, gigantic bubbles, live music, dancing, local artists, and more are all a part of this old-school, handmade folk arts festival. And, as if that wasn’t enough, several local food trucks will be serving up their own works of culinary art.
Thanks to the support of our 2023 naming sponsor, The Jester Group at Baird, ClydeFEST admission is completely free!
