Go See This: Saturdays in Siler City

March 17th is a time for celebration all over downtown Siler City and the NC Arts Incubator is at the hub of all the fun!

What’s the ruckus all about? The evening of March 17th  is the opening night of Saturdays in Siler series.

This means that every month there will be PAF Gallery exhibit openings at the NC Arts Incubator, monthly music on the NCAI Rotary Stage brought to you by the Siler City Music Series, and lots of other fun things happening in downtown galleries and businesses —  including the beginning of an outdoor Art Market during the festivities.

In addition, March 17th  is St. Patrick’s Day, which is three days before the Spring Equinox, which brings us to our first Spring Gallery opening at NC Arts Incubator. Mad as a March Hare is the theme for the Carolina Mixed Media Art Guild’s presentation inspired by the Chatham Rabbit…spring, fertility and rejuvenation!

The Carolina Mixed Media Art Guild is based out of Raleigh and is comprised of a powerhouse o

f diverse and talented artists that meet, create, collaborate, and present a wide variety of artistic media across the Triangle area.  During the opening reception from 6-8pm, Guild members will be on hand to discuss their work while they demonstrate. Watching art being made by experts is fascinating. Don’t miss this!

Dylan Branson of Pittsboro will be entertaining us with guitar and vocal stylings in the Courtyard Coffee gallery area. Dylan Branson is influenced by artists like Bob Dylan, John Fogerty, Bill Withers, and Neil Young and performs a wide range of musical genres such as rock, soul, and country.

Bear Creek Brews will be on hand selling super-locally crafted beer.

Outside on the Rotary Stage the Siler City Music Series will kick off with the Bonlee Boys at 7pm.
Also open downtown: Green Turtle Gallery, Twin Birch and Teasel, Person to Person Gallery, Wingnut Gallery,  and new shop, Wild Women Chasing Periwinkle.

While at NC Arts Incubator, check out the new spring class listings such as Wheel Thrown and Hand Built Pottery, Oil Painting, Watercolor Painting, and Acrylic Painting, Comic Drawing, Grid Drawing and The Artists’ Saloon.
