If you are a kid, you have a kid, or you just feel like a kid at heart, get out your calendar now and mark April 5 with a big, bright star. ClydeFEST!
You know about ClydeFEST, right?
If yes, proceed directly to the aforementioned calendar marking.
If no, you are in for an incredible treat. ClydeFEST is a Chatham County treasure of an event honoring Chatham’s own folk artist Clyde Jones and his love for creativity and the young’uns of this community. And the festival is almost as unique as Clyde is.
Join us for a day of fun at the Chatham County Arts Council’s 13th Annual ClydeFEST family festival on the Bynum Ballfield. We’ll have Clyde’s Critter Cut-outs, local artists, young musical talent, handmade old-time field games, a Clyde Jones Critter auction, fabulous food, jugglers, clowns, stilters … OH MY!
“The focus of the ‘FEST is to present an authentic Chatham County arts and culture event for children. A whole gaggle of local artists help the community’s budding creative thinkers get hands-on, immersive arts experiences in painting, silk-screening, drumming, acting, dance, and playing music,” says long-time event coordinator Gilda McDaniel.
ClydeFEST takes place only in Chatham County and only on Saturday, April 5 from 11am to 4pm at Bynum Ballfield. (Well, unless there’s a bunch of rain, in which case it’ll be Sunday, April 6 from 1 to 5pm.)
COMING SOON: Ticket info and a list of musicians, artists, and performers who will help us have a funky, fun, and fabulous day!
